The procedure known as ‘cryolipolysis’ targets, cools and eliminates fat cells without causing damage to surrounding tissue. A non-invasive applicator is placed onto the targeted area and the fat is drawn up into the applicator between two cooling cool-panels by suction.

As the cooling starts, a feeling of pressure and cold follows. Each treatment usually takes between 35 – 45 minutes depending on the area being treated. During this process the fat cells crystallise, break down and are then naturally flushed from the body over the next few months.

The number of sessions you might need is fully dependent on the targeted areas and your goal. The Cranley Clinic has two of the new CoolAdvantage™ applicators, making fat reduction faster, better and more comfortable.

Faster – the CoolAdvantage™ treats at a colder temperature cutting treatment time to 35 minutes v 60 minutes for the standard applicators.

Better – the new contoured cup of the CoolAdvantage™ treats 122cm square tissue v 110 cm with the standard applicators.

Comfortable – the even distribution of cold from the CoolAdvantage™ applicator ensures 45% more tissue is in contact with the cold surface v the standard applicators.  The lower suction pressure has a gentler tissue draw, making the treatment more comfortable. “The 3-in-1 design with interchangeable applicators  means that we are able to tackle even more of the stubborn fat effectively and our two machines allow us to treat two areas simultaneously. The new CoolAdvantage handpiece will replace the standard version of the CoolCore, CoolCurve and CoolFit applicators.

The Cranley Clinic is one of the few clinics to have two of the CoolSmooth applicators specially designed to target the outer thigh and saddlebag area, significantly reducing treatment time. The CoolSmooth applicator does not rely on suction as the other applicators do and can be adjusted to fit each individual patient. Although the CoolSmooth treatment takes longer (2hrs) we are able to treat both sides simultaneously, reducing the treatment time in half from four to two hours. A recent study using the new CoolSmooth applicators showed that 86% of patients noticed visible fat reduction on their outer thighs after one treatment.

Results can be seen with one session; however, new guidelines have suggested an initial treatment to reduce fat and subsequent treatments to sculpt and shape the body are advised.

The Cranley Clinic was one of the first clinics in the world to offer the CoolMini applicator. The CoolMini is perfect for targeting smaller areas of concern for permanent fat reduction, such as the double chin, knees and axillary puffs under the arms and any other small targeted area of fat.

As we have 2 machines we are offering the option of treating two body areas at once. You can target a smaller area and a larger area of fat simultaneously, or two smaller areas at once, all in the convenience of a privately dedicated suite.

To determine how many sessions may be required it is important to evaluate the area and discuss your goals just as with the larger applicators. The CoolMini is the most advanced non-invasive fat reduction treatment dedicated for smaller body areas.
